Heat frying pan on medium heat with drizzle of vegetable oil.
Once oil is shimmering, place brussel sprouts cut side down onto the pan.
Place lid on top of the frying pan, until brussel sprouts show a bright green colour, about 5 minutes.
Remove the lid and allow the brussel sprouts on pan surface to caramelize a brown color, about 2-5 minutes.
Turn brussel sprouts to caramelize the rounded side of the brussel sprouts, about 5 minutes.
Add bacon to the pan and generously sprinkle with steak rub and drizzle maple syrup.
Toss to combine. Serve hot.
